BIOGRAPHY

 

Stéphane REGNIER is a dive instructor and underwater photographer.

He discovered diving on the Atlantic Coast in 1985.

In 1992, he decided to live his dive passion and become a professional dive instructor. He took his fins to the Antilles, Corsica and the Red Sea before settling in France in 1994.

Passionate about dive training and instructor training, he obtained the BEES 2 in 2002 and became an SSI Instructor Certifier in 2003.

Since 2015 he has been the Regional Manager for SSI France.

Stéphane discovered underwater photography by participating in the organization of the World Underwater Championships in Marseille in 2002.

Fascinated, he decided to take up underwater photography and participated in his first French Championships in 2004.

He was the French Vice-Champion for Underwater

Photography in 2006, 2008, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

He became the World Vice-Champion in 2015 in Zeeland (The Netherlands) and won a gold medal in the ‘Wide Angle without Model’ category.

He won an overall bronze medal at the European Underwater Photography Championships in La Herradura (Spain) and a bronze medal in the following categories: Wide Angle without Model, Macro and Fish.

His favourite location for underwater photography is Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia).
