BIOGRAPHY

 

Pasquale was born in Naples, Italy, in 1970. He is an underwater photographer who graduated in Marine Productions at the University of Naples 'Federico II'.

He is a self-taught photographer and started taking photos underwater with a Nikonos III in 1989. He has always been interested in photos of sea life thanks to the rich sea beds of the gulf of Naples. 

His photos and articles have been published in important national and international magazines, including: National Geographic, Discovery Magazine, Le Figarò, GeoMagazine and many others.

Pasquale has won numerous prizes and awards all over the world, including the prestigious “Plongeur d’Or” (Marseille, 2011) and Underwater Photographer of the Year, Marine Conservation (London, 2020).

He collaborates with the French photographic agency 'BiosPhoto' and was also photographer for the following guides: Parco Archeologico sommerso di Baia (Submerged Argeological Park of Baia) and Ischia & Procida Parco Sommerso del Regno di Nettuno (Ischia and Procida, Submerged Park of Neptune's Kingdom)

There have been numerous exhibitions of his work, including 'Water Surface' in Procida, the Italian Capital of Culture for 2022. 

Since 2021, he has been an ambassador for both Seacam and Mares.
