Avanti Excel
Following numerous tests on new materials in the field and in the lab, and after intense computer simulations, the Mares Avanti Excel was born.
The Super Channel Thrust makes it possible to channel the water and optimize thrust in comparison to other fins of similar size.
The elastic OPB system ensures that the blade is always at an optimal angle during both the upward and downward strokes, thus considerably encreasing efficiency.
The “whale fin” section in the foot pocket allows for greater transmission of power, with improved sensitivity when finning.
The consequent advantage is greater thrust with the same effort.
RIDDLED FOOT POCKET
The limiting facors in traditional open heel pockets are their weight and the "parachute effect". When finning, water gets into the space between the bootie and the foot pocket, creating drag like the air in a parachute. The perforations prevent this and heve the additional benefit of making the foot pocket soft and flexible. Furthermore, the suction effect which can make doffing of the fins cumbersome, is now forever a thing of the past.
OPB - OPTIMIZED PIVOTING BLADE
A llows the blade to assume an optimal angle.
Traditional fins produce lower levels of thrust at different points in the kicking cycle. OPB produces optimal thrust during every phase of the cycle, which minimizes fatigue and produces a fluid movement through the water.
ELASTIC OPB
Utilizing materials and design to obtain the OPB without apparent hinge points, the Elastic OPB causes the blade to flex at an optimal angle during the upward and downward strokes increasing the effi ciency of the divers kicks. All diver’s effort became a positive thrust.
CHANNEL THRUST
Mares design is inspired by marine mammals.
Channel Thrust technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort.
SUPERCHANNEL
Latest development in Channel Thrust is the Superchannel. The blade is designed with a large flexible central Superchannel propelling water-flow more effi ciently down the fin blade instead of letting it spill over the sides for optimal performance and minimal diver effort.
ABS PLUS BUCKLES
Unique and patented design. It only takes one quick movement to easily open or close the buckle, even when wearing thick neoprene gloves. The double button release prevents the buckle from accidentally opening. The most user friendly in the market.
OPEN FOOT POCKET
Ergonomically designed foot pocket delivers maximum power and evenly distributes pressure over the foot to minimize fatigue. Interior, features internal ribbing that improves fit eliminate foot suction and prevent foot pocket flexing. Transmits more power to the blade.
WHALE TAIL POWER
Unlike traditional styles that separate materials at the foot pocket resulting in a break in power transmission, a continuum of materials from the blade ensures seamless transmission of power through the entire kick cycle. From nature, for divers.
