Danishark Elasmobranch Research

Biography

Danishark Elasmobranch is a non-profit association created by Danilo Rezzola, an Italian researcher.

The aim of the association is to carry out research into cartilaginous fishes. To do so, they carry out the following activities: research expeditions, biological studies, work with universities, courses, conferences, publications and consultancy to public aquariums.

Currently they are active in the Hammerhead Schooling Research project which is a study into scalloped hammerhead sharks in Sudan, and Whale Shark Ph-id, DJ which involves photo identification of whale sharks in the Gulf of Tadjoura.
